This American-Palestinian mother cares for her two children, a daughter and son, who are both diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. She shared a lot of her personal experiences of raising children with disabilities within the Muslim community. She was happy that she is beginning to see positive change and acceptance towards individuals with disabilities within the Muslim community but believes there is a lot more room to grow and offers some ideas on future changes. She also provides insight on what it is like raising a female Muslim daughter with a disability in comparison to raising a son with a disability.
